Article number: kb-53 | Q. My Domain Has Expired But I Want The Domain. What Do I Do?
A. If your domain has expired because you did not initiate renewals or becuse you just chose to renew at 11th hour and then selected to pay by Check, there is nothing that we can do unless we have the payments credited to our account.
If the domain is beyond 5th day of expiry date (all timings and dates are GMT), then we can recover the domain for next 48 hours at 10$ additional charges.
If the domain has entered the redemption period, to get the domain back it is a lengthy process and the charges are US $ 100 to US $ 120 depending upon domain extension. Please open a Support Ticket alongwith payment details and we shall do the needful.
If you want to ensure that you do not have to pay additional charges, then please ensure one of the following:
- Either renew Your Domain 14 days ahead of expiry in case you are planning to pay by check.
- Pay Online Using Your CC through Paypal gateway and your invoices would immediately be marked as PAID. This is for cases where you would want to renew the domain at the 11th hour.
All International Clients are required to pay online. So either they should have a Credit Card or have their Paypal Account funded otherwise.
