Article number: kb-65 | Q. When is it time to transfer my domain name to you?
A. As described in the Artciles with Article ID KB-57 through KB-63 the ICANN registrar transfer process is a very hard process and must be started 180 days before your expiration date. ICANN registrars that are involved in the second hand domain name business will do everything possible to deny your transfer. And, due to ICANN policies, there are hundreds and hundreds legal ways for them to deny your transfer. So, start to transfer as early a you can. Usually, Internet users start to transfer after the expiration date thinking that the registrar transfer is a very easy process. This is very misleading. Due to ICANN, the registrar transfer process is a very hard process which must be constantly monitored.
